When will communicators realize that we are senior citizens? That the only difference between us and the rest of the young people is: our age, the time we have lived in this planet, our life experiences and a few other things?
In addition, it is surprising that always or almost always we appear in the newspapers and TV when something terrible happens to one of us: "granny dies abandoned", "granny must pick up vegetables from street market to survive", and so on.
What about the good things?
It seems to us that senior citizens of the 21st century are ageing in different ways and that the media is misrepresenting us showing just one side of reality.
Our society scarcely gives spaces of prominence to the elderly, in part because we spread a stereotyped image of this group. An image that labels almost 3 million people in Chile as conservative, weak and vulnerable.
If we want to create an inclusive society for all ages we must be more active in dismantling these images through the viralization of more realistic images
And what more realistic than "the voice of the elders"?
"Seniors Bloggers" (watch story telling) is a self-managed project created in late-2017 by a group of seniors from the cities of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar who are resolute, active in their communities and very communicative.
Along with the Sociologist and Gerontologist Javiera # LaViejóloga and other gerontology professionals we developed opinion articles and videos, and launched the several communication products in the electronic media "Think Ageless - Pensar sin Edad" such as:
We look forward to more. We are still far from achieving the cultural change our society requires to enable people to age without fear of being excluded due to age and appearance.
We need to move forward and for this, we ask your for help.

In 2018 we want to:
1. Consolidate a community of influencers around the vision and mission of Think Ageless - Pensar Sin Edad.
2. Develop comprehensive communication skills in TA influencers.
3. Ensure proper material conditions for the work of TA influencers.
4. Increase the production of communication pieces increasing the exposure of senior citizens in the media through TA.
The activities we want to finance include:
Nº1: Call for new senior bloggers through dissemination of the results of the project in strategic meeting spaces for senior citizens.
Nº2: Development and implementation of courses for the development of key communication/soft skills to work as an influencer in digital platforms and social networks including journalistic writing, documentary analysis, use of audiovisual resources, photography and video recording, image editing and graphic proposals, video editing, audience analysis, use of social networks as social communication media, strategic advertising, among others.
Nº3: Fund mobilization to senior bloggers and the full time work of #LaViejóloga in this project.
Nº4: Acquisition of appropriate computers and software for editing audiovisual materials generated by senior bloggers for free.
