We are a Network of Tree Nurseries led by Mapuche-Pehuenche families from Kurarewe in La Araucanía region, in the south of Chile that collects seeds from the Temperate Forests of this territory to reproduce them in nurseries to reforest properties within our community creating nuclei of native forests to contribute to the care of our ecosystems and mitigate the effects of climate change.
The Wiñolfe Anumka Nursery Network (which means “traveling trees” in Mapuzungun) is made up of 10 families of the territory of Kurarewe who are responsible for collecting the seeds, reproducing them in greenhouses and reforestating.
The project began in 2020 by inviting families from the community to join this initiative. Since then, various meetings have been held to establish the Network, training workshops on seed collection techniques and nursery processes. Subsequently, 4 greenhouses were designed and built on community property, and since April of this year the nurseries are already in full operation.
During 2020, 3 nuclei of native forest were implemented and since April of this year a campaign to finance new nuclei began.
The objective of this campaign is to implement 10 nuclei during the winter period of this year. The funds received will be used to finance the trees produced by the members of the community, the labor and materials necessary for the implementation of the nuclei and 10% for the communication work and technical support of the project.

If we don't reach the 100% of the funding goal, we will use it to do the following:
With the 10%
With 10% of the campaign we could finance a nucleus of native forest of 18 different species.
With the 25%
With 25% we can finance the implementation of 2.5 cores.
With the 50%
50% of the campaign allows us to implement 5 native forest nuclei
With the 75%
And with 75% of the campaign it allows us to finance the implementation of 7.5 nuclei of native forest
