The Río de la Plata is very polluted and there is no organization in charge of keeping the coast clean. We are Luz, Tomás and Lucas and together we founded Versova, a community of volunteers that cleans the San Isidro coast weekly. We have been working for a month and more than 3 tons of waste have already been collected, with the participation of more than 100 people. We were inspired by Afroz Shah, an environmental lawyer from Mumbai, India, known for organizing the world's largest beach clean-up project, on Versova Beach. After 85 weeks, with thousands of volunteers and 5.3 million kilograms of trash less, the beach changed completely. Our goal is to leave the coast of the Río de la Plata de San Isidro clean by October 2021. To do so, we want to generate a permanent community of volunteers, and promote pro-environmental habits. We want to achieve our goal, and for that we need your help. With your contribution, we can make a difference. All the proceeds will be used to buy the necessary materials and thus ensure that the river is kept clean. Versova #ForACleanRiver
If we don't reach the 100% of the funding goal, we will use it to do the following:
With the 10%
We will buy basic cleaning materials (gloves, bags, reusable bags, bags and scales to weigh the garbage). We will also cover hygiene costs (first aid kit, nurses, etc).
With the 25%
We will purchase more sophisticated cleaning materials (rakes, shovels, nets) and will cover transportation costs and material maintenance costs.
With the 50%
We will cover marketing and communication costs (banner, t-shirts, stickers, instagram, corporate email).
With the 75%
Unforeseen costs and website design, development and hosting.
