An adventure through 5194 km and 11 provinces, documenting and sharing how the central nerve of Argentina connects the different landscapes, biomes and customs of our country. In 5 months, the desire to travel from the beginning to the end on the legend route, will accompany the visit of the most important National Parks and Nature Reserves. The process of the whole experience will be shared day by day through social media, newspapers, and other means to later create the book "Rincones de la Ruta 40", a compilation of photographic material, informative texts and experiences about that journey. The desire to generate environmental awareness, the revaluation of the spaces and the interest for the natural heritage of our country are the main reason for the realization of this project.
Departure date: August 2019
BIO:
My name is Gonzalo Granja, I'm Photographer and Audiovisual Producer specialized in nature and outdoor activities. I was born in Cordoba, Argentina, my work is usually inspired by the experience of traveling and being in contact with the environment. I have traveled more than 15 countries around the globe, working with brands and companies from different cities. After making a video in 2013 for the Secretary of Tourism in my hometown Alta Gracia, self-managed a project promoting Iceland with several companies and tourism agencies in that country. On return to my country, I presented a photo exhibition "Discovering Iceland, a travel deep inside of a dream”. Whether walking, skating, swimming, or camping somewhere, my work is based on the constant search to share the moments that invite people to go out and spend more time in nature becoming aware of the value and care it deserves.
In my short but intense career I was published three times by the National Geographic magazine in Spanish as a photo of the day, I traveled New Zealand from North to South in a motorhome, I crossed the Andes by bike and had the honor of publishing a book about the place that I was raised and in which my family and my friends live, Cordoba.
