A promise made by a father to his seven-year-old son with autism: “If you learn to do it by the age of 15, we will cross the Andes”.
Santiago learned to ride and has never stopped since. That was where the idea of (the) tandem bicycle arose.
Every weekend, father and son pedal over 80km, in order to meet their goal of crossing the Andes. They call themselves “Pushing Limits”.
Besides having autism, Santi also has muscular hypotonia. It was this condition that inspired Juan, his father, to incorporate bicycling into their lives to strengthen the muscles of his son.
This story goes beyond a condition and is about a father and his son connecting through sport; it is about human potential and how we can do more than we think.
This documentary wants to inspire the observer to go past the limits set for themselves and achieve beyond the imagination.
On March 13, 2019 Santi will turn 16 and our goal is to honor that promise made by Juan and share it with you.
If we don't reach the 100% of the funding goal, we will use it to do the following:
With the 10%
We can pay for supplies such as extra batteries, cards, hard drives, equipment rental.
With the 25%
We will be able to pay for the fuel needed to reach the end of the trip in Chile and return to Buenos Aires for two cars + the food for the whole team.
With the 50%
We will be able to face the lodging expenses.
With the 75%
Here we are touching the sky with our hands as we could think about getting an aluminum tandem so that our heroes will be more comfortable with the adventure!
