NIÑOS BAJO FUEGO (Children Under Fire) is an International Documentary that deals with the harm children suffer after a conflictive separation from their parents. Analyzing all the legal, sociocultural twists and the consequences this causes in the psyche of children.
The production already has interviews with Family Judges, Psychologists, Lawyers, Auxiliaries of Justice, Associations, Groups and affected of Spain, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Portugal, Germany and Argentina.
At this moment of the project we are financing the last stage of filming in the United States, to proceed with the post-production and dissemination of the documentary.
WHY DO WE DO THIS DOCUMENTARY?
It is estimated that this scourge affects more than 2.4 million children in the world. This can affect you, your children, a family member or friend, now or in the future.
Beyond the contributions that each one can make to this project, the simple gesture of forming a part will mean that we get someone involved and that surely someone has shared this with more people. That way, we will be able to finish the movie and on the way we have already joined many people who feel that this is also THEIR MOVIE. This project will be a success only if we can get many people to see it and share it and, without a doubt, this is a path that will help us achieve that goal.
If the trailer touched you, if you read something about the documentary and you wanted to read more, if ever a news item related to this issue sensitized you, if someone you know has ever gone through a similar situation, or if you think it might affect you to your children, or a family member in the future, this is a unique opportunity to be part of this project with a clear and genuine goal, OUR CHILDREN!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE? BE A PART OF THIS PROJECT!
As the main form of participation, we need your financial contribution for which, in addition to our enormous gratitude, you will also receive a reward in exchange for your collaboration. Payments are made by credit card through Mercado Pago. And remember, it's not a matter of how much, but the reason that leads you to do it!
Added to this, your support in the dissemination of the project is essential so that more and more people can learn, get trained to Judges, Lawyers, Psychologists and assistants of justice, change old laws and help us to tell the world about the reality of the suffering of children.
We count on your help to make this project a reality!
DIRECTOR!
My name is Roy Sly, I have been an audiovisual producer for almost 30 years, working as a director in TV commercials and as a producer of institutional, commercial and training videos for companies. I have worked for corporations and frontline agencies, in parallel doing training for film and TV students.
Ten years ago I began to suffer the consequences of a conflictive separation, and I had to take legal measures thinking that this would solve the problems. However, the problems deepened.
The judicial process was frustrating and destructive. It negatively impacted my entire family life, but at one point I realized that something more had to be done than fighting in the courts.
In 2010 I started my research work taking notes thinking about writing a book, but as an audiovisual producer I discovered that my best weapon to fight against this scourge was to make a documentary video, in order to tell the world about the inequalities that occur and the damage that provokes children when a conflictive separation occurs.
I started filming in 2012 in Spain and as the production progressed I discovered that the problem was global, therefore I broadened the scope of the documentary filming in the interior of Argentina, Chile and Brazil during 2013.
Due to complications in my family judicial process I had to suspend the filming until 2015 where I was invited to the International Parental Alienation Congress in Morelia, Mexico. During this congress I had the opportunity to interview professionals in the field of Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia and Peru, further expanding the universe of information.
I have personally financed all the production using miles exchange for flights, the collaboration of parent groups in defense of children and my own pocket. I tried to obtain a budget from the film institute, but the bureaucracy was so big that it surpassed me and I preferred not to depend on government institutions. Therefore, I decided to finish filming with the incorporation of collective financing, depending on people who really want to collaborate and are committed to the cause.
Finally after several family legal problems in the following years at this time I have decided to finalize and disseminate the documentary, including interviews in the US to further visualize this problem that destroys entire families.
The documentary is already in the post-production stage to be released in 2018.
In case the budget is exceeded, we will add more countries to add interviews!
