ALTO VOLUMEN is a music band from Cali (Colombia) formed in 2011 by seven members from 19 to 23 years old. Since their creation they have been accomplishing their dream of composing music, influenced by different genres such as rock, jazz, rap, reggae, funk and folklore from the Colombian Pacific. Show after show, they display a tremendous amount of talent, energy and sincere lyrics. All seven members of Alto Volumen live in the Aguablanca District, the poorest sector of the city of Cali.
Alto Volumen has been selected, along with two more bands, to represent Colombia at the South by Southwest (SXSW), the most important music festival in the United States. This festival takes place in Austin (Texas) in March. This event receives more than 30.000 people among managers, representatives from the music industry, journalists and general public. It is considered the perfect platform for new talented groups. Other Colombian bands such as Chocquibtown, Monsieur Periné and Bomba Estéreo have participated in previous versions. Alto Volumen will perform in at least three showcases in the event. In addition, a set of live performances in Texas and Mexico is currently being scheduled.
For Alto Volumen, this is the opportunity of a lifetime. Participation in this event will allow international media exposure and will allow Alto Volumen to perform in front of key music industry representatives.
None of its members have the resources to purchase airline tickets and travel expenses. This is why we are calling all music lovers to support this noble cause.

If we don't reach the 100% of the funding goal, we will use it to do the following:

We will pay for the passports procedures.

We will pay for US visa fees in Bogotá.

With this ammount we will pay the comunications and publicity agency in the US in order to promote the band and the showcases at SXSW.

With the 75%
We will purchase the airplane tickets from Cali to Austin, Texas.
