Varasanta Theater raise the flight to a new place and needs your support to make this place suitable for new creations. You can be part of this artistic and cultural project by becoming an “ally” with Varasanta Theater. We have the team, the lighting and staircase, but there are some adequacy on the building missing to keep going with our artistic and pedagogical activity in this new space.
Your contribution not only supports and encourages our job, it means a recognizing of our labor with arts and culture. By supporting us to adequate our new seat, placed on the neighborhood Muequetá (that means “tillage field” on muisca language) of Bogotá, you are making stronger the artistic creativity and creation of our country.
What do we need?
To recieve on our new place all the intensive artistic activity that we do, we need to make this adequacy:
1) First floor: adapt the kitchen to make a caffe
2) Second floor: expand the stairs and build new restrooms for females and males
3) On the third floor: raise the roof and install a wooden floor.
Who are Varasanta / What is Varasanta? The Nonprofit Institute Varasanta Theatre -Center for transformation of the actor- was created in 1994, as a permanent space of theatrical research and exploration through the creation of plays, pedagogical processes of training and the development of interchanges and meeting of and with national and international artists.
Varasanta Theater has shaped on their plays the result of 21 years of hard and uninterrupted work and research, inquiring deeply about our reality as colombian people from the poetics of theatre. The research comes from the desire od exploring the theatre as a meaningful source of transformation of human beings.
We'd had a seat for 20 years, which meant for the team having the possibility of making a continuous work, the free aesthetic research and the interchange between artists and contemporary trends. The spaces of Varasanta had been recognized in Colombia and are a reference in Latinamerica.
This new seat is for all of as the living possibility to continue fostering a space of meeting around arts and creation. Your contribution is an impulse to strengthen arts as an agent of transformation of the country.
If we don't reach the 100% of the funding goal, we will use it to do the following:
