This futuristic short film, set in the year 2081, tells the story of the day Sandy and Johnny meet their new Alien Pet-Friend, Junior. On this day, their lives will take a very unexpected turn.

The short film will be Director's Kika Rodriguez thesis film at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles. The crew will be composed by NYFA students and actors, as well as professional Makeup Artists and set builders, many of them graduated from the Tom Savini Program.

We want to bring to life an entire new world in which humans have conquered other planets and where having aliens as pets it's a completley normal thing, but is it a good idea?

2081 will have all practical special effects including a puppet, inspired in all those magnificent 70's - 80's horror movies.

To all of those science fiction and gore fans out there, we promise we will not disappoint you; and we deeply thank every single person who took the time to check out our idea.

If we don't reach the 100% of the funding goal, we will use it to do the following:

With the 10%

We can feed the crew (very important!) , make the puppet and pay for permits and insurance.
With the 25%

Set Supplies, more Special Effects Supplies (now it's starting to get good), Equipment transportation.
With the 50%

We can rent a small place to shoot at.
With the 75%

The special effects will get to a greater level, and we can rent an actual warehouse to build a really cool set.
