In search of his belongings we found an autobiography handwritten by himself: his birth, the exodus through the desert, his life. Something that woke up in me a need to better know my grandfather, my family, my people. Then we decided to transform the historical documentary into a dialogue between grandson and grandfather. A conversation that would allow us to understand, amidst so much pain, where does the strenght comes to face this tireless struggle in life, which let my grandfather arrive to Argentina, where I would be born later.
I wanted to film my experience in this search of a collective memory of my family, and my people, using the animation to illustrate the autobiographical history of my grandfather. Between both experiences compose this documentary that has a clear objective: to denounce the complicit international silence that is a denial of the first genocide of the 20th century 100 years later. This story is one more, among those of millions of families that suffered directly or indirectly the genocide, and the same way the pain is shared we also want this work to be shared
With a big part of the filmed material and a detalied workplan we want to open the next stage to many people that starting with the economic and symbolic support to this project permits us to honor the still latent pain, that this unjustice carries after 100 years.
