Our goal is create a short film as a result of the knowledge exchange and creativity of an international team. We are currently in the development stage of the project. We want to shoot in the Historic Center of Quito, Ecuador in October 2014.
Crisálida is the creation after the idea of two filmmakers, Paul and Julia Silva Escobar, who after several years of experience in various productions in Germany and Argentina proposed to write a script together in Ecuador with the support of Diana Freire as producer.
About the history Ernesto a biologist of 50, lives with his mother in the same house where he was born. One morning, like many others, a dim light enters through the window and he raises the curtains to watch the growth of his pupae. For some time, strange sounds and murmurs filled his head that paralyze him.
Something very surprising happens that the end of the story, also causing the viewer to wonder and have an impact at several levels, especially in sensitive and philosophical planes.
