What is Reciclando Aceite?
Reciclando Aceite starts with the goal of achiving the decrease of domestic water pollution, promoting the use of cooked oil as a raw material to elaborate ecological soap.
Reciclando Aceite's eco-soap is moisturizing, antiseptic and biodegradable. Also, it doesn't have surfactant components, communly found in detergents that are harmful to human health and environment.
Why we need your help?
Reciclando Aceite has been chosen as a finalist from a total of 4000 proyects sent to Eco-Reto, a competition organized by YABT (Young Americas Business Trust). We have a scholarship that covers the 50% of the team expenses and we need to collect the 50% remaining.
We need your help so we can go to the finals in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia and we can keep recyling and teaching the community about the benefits of ethical consumerism.
Help us reach one of Reciclando Aceite's main aim that is the application of a recycling program for used cooking oil that includes the community and benefits it.
Nowadays, the existing law in Buenos Aires, controls the handling and delivery of cooked oil of restaurants and dining halls, to be used in biodiesel plants. However, this way of collection lives a very important part of the population excluded that has this material waste in a lower amount but doesn't have a place where to leave it. This is why Reciclando Aceite provides recycling centers for used cooking oil and soon will give workshops on how to elaborate ecological soap and also about environmental education. All of this with the purpose of bringing the community closer to the idea of recycling.
How to help?

If Reciclando Aceite doesn't reach its goal, the contribution will be reversed to your account.
