Hi, my name is Onnis Luque, I grew up and lived in Santa Fe Housing Unit in Mexico city. My two great passions are Architecture and Photography. This project brings together this two passions, a little of my personal history and my way of seeing things, and put them into a book.
I've been working on this project for the past 4 years. Through the lens, I see the place where my grand parents lived, where my parents met and where I grew up. I've portraited this places and the inhabitants in order to be able to tell a story about transformation and adaptation in more than 50 years. Thanks to the kindness of the inhabitants uf this housing unit, this book open the doors to the very places where the secret life of this families happen, the ones where they talk, eat, sleep, dream and live.
This project is supported by a grant from FONCA. The berliner publishing house, JOVIS Verlag is interested in publish it. The title of the book is "USF/ DF Tactics of appropriation: the santa fe housing unit in Mexico city. The book is bilingue english-spanish, and its at the final satge to be published.
We just need your help to see him born!
