Hi there, my name is Eduardo Escobar but people know me better as “El Escobas” (Escobas means brooms). I am a great fan of Mexican Wrestling and I have a nice collection of  Mexican Lucha Libre paraphernalia, because of that, the guys from History Channel invited me to take part in the TV capsules they make for Latin America, called “Mi Tesoro”. I think Wrestling in Mexico is the national sport, only preceded by Soccer.

Graphic Design has been my life for 25 years, I’ve been working on in fashion projects too and I’m deep into the new desig trend called Art Toys. My Designer Toy is called Molote, It is based on the personality of a wrestler and it takes its shape and name of a Pre-Hispanic kitchen appliance in use nowadays, and the name of a classic dish of Oaxaca, land of my father.

I wanted to invite a great friend of mine to collaborate with me on this new project, his name is: Guillermo Serrano.
Hey, they call me Doctor Latex, that’s because I used to work with that material in a stage of my life and perhaps, because I’m a little bit kinky. My sense of curiosity goes beyond graphic design and I allways try to incorporate different materials from other disciplines to my graphic proposals.

To live in Mexico City is some times a little complicated, always under stress and rushing, one always end up eating in the street food stands, (here in México we call them “changarros”) and doing it again and again. In the process, we discovered that there was curious object in common in every stand we visited, it was the salt shaker.
In our country, there are only two or three classic, popular salt shaker designs, those designs haven’t changed since the 60’s.

We need your support for helping our project to become a reality. Our plan is to make a mexican style-fussion, gathering together two mayor mexicans trends, food and wrestling to put out a brand new classic and popular salt shaker design... To the tables in Latin America and the world, help us to introduce:

Molote Salt Shaker! (cheers and claps).

Molote Salt Shaker is the son of the previously mentioned Molote Art Toy, who’s been arround the world sharing shelves with Dunnys and other famous toys.

We are dying to start the manufacturing of Molote Salt Shaker, we’ve been doing the whole research, we have the technical drawings and we know were to sell it... With a bit of your help and your good vibe, we’ll turn Molote Salt Shaker into a new Mexican Pop Classic!
